How to clean your Ghillie Suit

How to clean your Ghillie Suit?

If you own a ghillie suit, it's very important to clean it regularly to keep it in good condition. Since it's often used outdoors, it can quickly become dirty. A dirty ghillie may look more realistic, but it's not very hygienic.

Here are our top tips for cleaning your ghillie:

    1. Shake it: First, shake the ghillie vigorously to remove dirt, debris and leaves.
    2. Hand-wash: Fill a bucket with warm water and a mild detergent, then leave the ghillie suit to soak for about 30 minutes. Gently scrub the dirtiest parts with a soft bristle brush, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
    3. Allow to dry: Wring out the ghillie gently to remove excess water, then allow to air dry in a well-ventilated area. Avoid drying in direct sunlight, as this can damage the material and alter the color.
    4. Repair tears: If your ghillie suit has tears or holes, it's important to repair them before washing. Use a thread and needle to sew up the tears, or use tape or a patch to cover the holes.
    5. Regular maintenance: To prevent your ghillie suit from getting dirty too quickly, it's important to maintain it regularly. Shake it after each use to remove debris and leaves, and store it in a clean, dry place.

By following these simple tips, you can keep your ghillie suit clean and in good condition for your next outdoor activities.
